Rules and Regulations
  1. Entrants can supply up to 5 entries
  2. Your image must be your own work and must have been photographed by or near the River Medway. Photographs taken between Tonbridge and Rochester bridge will be given priority at the time of judging and priority will also be given to those photos which are accompanied by a text description of the location.
  3. Entries must enter under either the under or over 18 category as directed by the website. They must also choose the relevant category for their image. Please take care to ensure you choose the correct category for you and your images.
  4. Deadline for entry is Friday 28th September 2012
  5. The competition is open to all
  6. The judges’ decision is final
  7. Prizes are subject to change
  8. We do not accept any responsibility for loss of entry or technical issues regarding the uploading of your image
  9. By submitting your photograph you give permission for your photo to be displayed on the competition website and in future publicity (see 11).
  10. Entrants take personal responsibility for permission needed with regards to their own photo, for example, if the photo has people in the image. Medway Valley Countryside Partnership take no responsibility for the contents or accuracy of the images taken
  11. By entering your image you give permission to Medway Valley Countryside Partnership and to Explore Kent to use your image for future (non commercial) publicity purposes. This may be any media such as website or posters etc, to highlight the current and any future competitions and when images of the local area are required for project work. Although you will not always be informed, you will always be referenced against your work
  12. Entering the competition does not automatically link you to Kent on Canvas. To discuss supplying them with your local images for commercial use, please contact them directly, and not via Medway Valley Countryside Partnership
  13. All images are approved by Medway Valley Countryside Partnership staff prior to being viewable on the website. There will therefore be a short delay between submission and website inclusion of the images. Images considered inappropriate or unacceptable will be disqualified and as such will not be moved to the website gallery and will not be viewable
  14. All entries must be digital and uploaded via the website. No postal entries can be accepted
  15. Digital files must be no larger than 5mb
  16. If your photograph wins we will ask you to supply a good quality jpg file of the original image. We will contact you via email and request that the file be sent as an attachment. Please therefore keep a high quality copy of your photo and be willing to supply this is successful.
  17. All correspondence regarding this competition and the winning images will be via email.
